Chasing Zoe, 1999

 

Chasing Zoe. Fabricated steel and ceramic tile. Sited at Mill Avenue and Broadway Road, Tempe, AZ, 1999.

“Chasing Zoe,”  was designed and built with the assistance of the neighborhood residents and the Ceramics students at nearby Tempe High School.
Through a series of workshops all participants were engaged in the fabrication of the wall mosaic.
The project was successful in bringing together neighbors of all generations.

The dedication was attended by the Mayor and City Counsel.

Winning “Best Public Art Project” by the Phoenix New Times added to the sense of accomplishment for
all of the stakeholders.
