La Memoria Vive, Steel and ceramic tile, 100’ x 15’ x 12’, Sky Harbor Airport, Phoenix, AZ. A public art streetscape located at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, Phoenix, AZ. Designed to incorporate the oral and written histories of “Golden-gate” barrio, which was annexed by the City for the expansion of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. “We were moved, the Golden-gaters, swept away carelessly, like tossing away old shoes.”
